Public Servant
Son of a Cuban immigrant, Juan Carlos Esquivel was born in Caracas, Venezuela on December 29, 1965 – since he was 13 years old, he lives in Miami. Esquivel is Married, father of 4 children and is the Grandfather to 3 beautiful grandchildren, a second generation in the transportation and logistics, “Doral’s predominant industry”
At age 56 and for more than 33 years has worked on logistics, creating jobs and generating economic activity not only in Doral but in other cities in the United States. He has brought his vast leadership experience in the private sector to serve as director of non-profit organizations.
Esquivel established his first company in the Doral Area- Universal Freightways back in 1991, throughout his career he has developed hundreds of job opportunities in multiple organizations with an outstanding oral, written, and analytical skills, able to foster an environment of teamwork and cooperation- Proven leadership in any size organization.
As an activist, he has served his community for over 30 years as director in large non-profit organizations, Ekklesia Miami, Mission Child and now Doral Voice Community Radio, where he has worked on community advocacy, youth empowering, fostering civic values, and providing assistance to families and especially children affected with the economy and by natural disasters, with the ability to motivate and inspire individuals in identifying their potential to continue to share this passion to serve others. He has been able to promote significant positive changes in communities and individuals through advocacy, empowered by compassion, based on a strong foundation to build on leadership and civic values.

I am committed in taking the city of Doral to the “Next Level”, I believe that businesses are the basis of the local economy in any city!
For over 19 years, most elected officials have allowed disproportionate housing developing and growth without worrying about our roads and of course this has generated traffic more trash in our city! Leaving behind the importance of supporting small and large businesses.
